Vijay Sethupathi to play this role in Kamal Haasan's Thalaivan Irukkindraan?

Last year, actor Kamal Haasan had announced the revival of his long delayed project Thalaivan Irukkindraan revealing that it'll be bankrolled by Lyca productions and will have music by AR Rahman.
It was also said that this movie is the sequel to Kamal Haasan's 1992 blockbuster Thevar magan, and that it'll feature actors like Vadivelu and Revathi from the first part and now here's an interesting news making the rounds.
While it was said that Vijay Sethupathi might join the cast of Thalaivan Irukkindraan, the latest update is that he might be playing the role of Nasser's son in the movie. It must be noted that Nasser's character gets killed by Kamal Haasan's in the first part.
