Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan who was last seen in the movie Thugs of Hindostan, is next acting in the movie Lal Singh Chaddha, which is directed by Advait Chandan, who had previously directed the superhit movie Secret Superstar that had Aamir Khan in a cameo.

Lal Singh Chaddha is the official Hindi remake of the Hollywood classic movie Forrest Gump released in 1994. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the movie starred Tom Hanks, Sally Field and was an acclaimed movie that won Tom Hanks the Best actor Oscar award.

Recently it was revealed that Vijay Sethupathi will play a role in Lal Singh Chaddha, and the latest update is that he might be playing Aamir Khan's friend, reprising the role Bubba played by Mykelti Williamson in the original. Reportedly the team has modified the screenplay to have Bubba's character as a Tamil person, and that Makkal Selvan will play the role.
