Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ has created a national frenzy with its GST dialogue stirring controversy. The dialogue was severely condemned by the state’s BJP leaders including Tamilisai Soundararajan who threatened to file a case if the scenes are not taken off the film.

Makkal selvan Vijay Sethupathi has come forward showing his support for ‘Mersal’. The actor stated that India shouldn’t be called a democratic nation if there is no freedom of speech.  “Time for people to raise their voice for ‘Mersal’,” Vijay Sethupathi tweeted.
