KV Anand reveals how Vijay Sethupathi replaced Nayanthara!

Director KV Anand has been known for his interesting commercial entertainers like Ayan, Kana Kanden, Maattrraan, Ko, Anegan and Kavan. Now he is almost ready to have his next release on screen, Kaappaan with Suriya.

Kaappaan is the third movie of Suriya - KV Anand combo after Ayan and Maattrraan and features Surya as an NSG commando while Mohanlal plays the Indian prime minister. Kaappaan also stars Sayyeshaa, Arya and Samuthirakani in important roles.

Recently in an interview, when KV Anand was questioned on why most of his movies revolve around heroes and not heroine centric and KV Anand revealed that Kavan was rejected by heroes and he had changed the screenplay to fit in a female protagonist and Nayanthara was to play the lead role, and that was when Vijay Sethupathi agreed to star and Kavan happened. Meanwhile, Kaappaan is all set to release on August 30.
