Vijay Sethupathi is now a pan Indian actor who has craze all over the country and movie directors from all over the country waiting to sign him for their projects. While he was supposed to act in Aamir Khan's Lal Singh Chaddha, now he's out of the project.

It was projected in reports that Aamir Khan had wanted Vijay Sethupathi to reduce weight for the character but as he failed to do so, he was replaced in the movie. However now Vijay Sethupathi has clarified on the real reason behind him opting out of the movie.

Vijay Sethupathi praised Aamir Khan as the sweetest gentleman and had came to a village where Vijay Sethupathi was shooting and narrated the story and made him agree. However after the pandemic, as Vijay Sethupathi's dates became messed up, with 5 of his Telugu movies requiring him to shoot, he couldn’t give the dates for Aamir Khan’s movie and hence he opted out. This clarification has dismissed rumours on Vijay Sethupathi’s weight being reason for exiting the Aamir Khan movie.
