Actor Vijay Sethupathi is a part of a number of movies in multiple languages, and one among his Tamil movies is Kadaisi Vivasaayi which is directed by Manikandan, who has previously directed Kaaka Muttai, Aandavan Kattalai and Kutrame Thandanai.

Kadaisi Vivasayi revolves around an elderly farmer in a village and this role is played by debutant Nallandi, and Vijay Sethupathi and Yogi Babu have played important supporting roles. The movie which was shot in 95 days has art direction by Thotta Tharani.

While it was initially said that Isaignani Ilaiyaraja who had worked with Manikandan in Kutrame Thandanai is the music director of Kadaisi Vivasayi, speculations are making the rounds that due to difference of opinion, Ilaiyaraja has opted out of the movie, and that Santhosh Narayanan has been signed to compose music. An official clarification is awaited soon.
