Versatile Vijay Sethupathi has had six releases this year and it was expected that one more will added to the list with 'Kavan'. The film directed by K.V.Anand was earlier expected to hit the screens on December 23 for the Christmas season.

But now sources confirm that 'Kavan' will release only after the Pongal rush and the makers as of now are eyeing the Republic Day weekend. It would be a good idea to release on the film on the Republic Day holiday (January 26, 2017) itself as it falls on a Thursday and would extend as a four day long weekend.

We will have to wait for official confirmation in this regard.

'Kavan' produced by Kalpathi S.Aghoram, Kalpathi.S.Ganesh and Kalpathi.S.Suresh stars Vijay Sethupathi and Madonna Sebastian in lead roles. T.Rajendhar, Vikranth, Bose Venkat, Akashdeep Saigal and Jagan play the other important roles. Hiphop Tamizha has rendered the music score.
