As expected Vijay Sethupathi's 'Kavan' has taken a humungous opening in Chennai Box office.

The film directed by K.V.Anand and produced on a grand scale by AGS Entertainments banner, released on Friday (March 31) amid roaring expectations and within the first show the film started generating positive reviews and word of mouth. We had reported earlier that the film has collected Rs.34 lakhs on the first day itself and the remaining two days being weekend holidays seem to have ensured much more footfall to theaters.

In the first three day opening weekend 'Kavan' has had 266 shows at 18 screens across Chennai. With this the film has collected Rs.1,1

,44,320 with a tremendous 95% occupancy. Trade calls it an Excellent Opening.

With phenomenal positive reviews, 'Kavan' is expected to retain this momentum in the week days as well.
