Two Films of Vijay Sethupathi to release in a week’s gap

Actor Vijay Sethupathi's 'Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum' directed by Nalan Kumarasamy of 'Soodhu Kavvum' fame has been scheduled to hit the screens on February 12, 2015 to cash in on the Valentines Day weekend. A few days back there were rumors citing that the release of the film may be postponed, but C.V.Kumar who has produced the film under his Thirukumaran Entertainments banner refuted the claim and confirmed that the film will definitely hit the screens on Feb 12.

Now comes announcement that 'Sethupathi' another VIjay Sethupathi starrer directed by S.U.Arunkumar of 'Pannaiyarum Padminiyum' fame will be hitting the screens on February 19. Today the posters of the film have been released mentioning the release date as Feb 19.

'Sethupathi' is touted as a commercial entertainer in which VIjay Sethupathi plays a cop for the first time in his career. Remya Nambeesan is the heroine. Musical score has been done by Nivas.K.Prasanna and cinematography is by Dinesh Krishnan.

Going by these announcement from the makers themselves, it has become certain that two films of Vijay Sethupathi will be hitting the screens in a week's gap. This is not a new phenomenon in the versatile actor's career. 'Rummy' released on January 31, 2014 and 'Pannaiyarum Padminiyum' released on February 7 of the same year.

We have to wait and watch for the turn of events. Either of the films may postpone their release dates to ensure that two films of the same actor do not affect the prospects of each other.
