Thalapathy Vijay's son Jason Sanjay who studied cinema at Toronto Film School in Canada and Central Film School in England is making his directorial debut in a new movie. The film produced by Lyca Productions was officially announced on August 28th. We already broke the news to you that Kavin will be playing the lead in the as yet unttiled movie with Yuvan Shankar Raja scoring the music.
In an interview several months back Jason's grand father veteran director S.A. Chandrasekhar shared that Jason Sanjay's first choice for the hero role of his debut movie is suprisingly not his dad Thalapathy Vijay but Vijay Sethupathi. Similarly there were also reports after the succes of 'Master' that Vijay Sethupathi had approached Jason Sanjay to play the lead in the Tamil remake of the blockbuster Telugu film 'Uppenna'. The Makkal Selvan had reportedly offerred to play the same villain role in Tamil also.
Now fresh reports suggest that Jason Sanjay had approached his favorite actor Vijay Sethupathi for an important character in his directorial debut movie and the latter has given his nod.
Already the youthful combination of Sanjay, Yuvan and Kavin has caused a sensation in the trade as well as among fans. Now the news of Vijay Sethupathi joining the team has further upped the ante and has made the project even bigger. The official announcement on this one is expected soon.
Vijay Sethupathi has once again received rave reviews for his stellar performance in the silent film 'Gandhi Talks' that was screened at the IFFI in Chennai. The film directed by Kishor Pandurang Belekar has music by A.R. Rahman and costars Aditi Rao Hydari, Arvind Swamy and Radhika Sarathkumar among others.
