'Master' directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj is a trendsetter in many ways. To start with its the first film Thalapathy Vijay opted for a relatively new director after a long time. The film managaed the biggest casting coup in recent times by bringing Vijay Sethupathi on board as the ruthless villain.

'Master' on release on January 13th 2021 amidst the huge threat of the coronavirus pandemic went on to become a blockbuster hit worldwide beating all odds. Today the Thalapathy Vijay fans are celebrating the anniversary of the release of the film and trending it big on social media.

Vijay Sethupathi on his part has shared an unseen BTS video of himself and Vijay prepping for the climax fight. The clip begins by both the stars greeting each other and then they discuss how they go about their scene and ends with both staring at each other within inches and then breaking into smiles and hugging each other. Needless to add that the video has gone viral with both the big stars fans celebrating it.

'Master' was produced by Xavier Britto and Lalit Kumar with Anirudh scoring the music. Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Andrea, Arjun Das and Shantanu Bhagyaraj formed the principle cast.
