Actor Vijay Sethupathi has always been known for his friendly nature and his helping tendency and his unique and close bonding with fans, thus fittingly owning the title Makkal Selvan, and the actor's generosity has yet again hit news.

The actor has gifted an amount of Rs 5 lakhs to Gomathi Marimuthu, who had recently made India proud by winning the first Gold medal for India in the recently held Asian Athletics Championship tournament held in Dohar, Qatar. The actor had handed over the amount through his fan club, as he had been shooting in Rajapalayam.

Even before a month, the actor had gifted a car to a social activist who had been working on rescuing bonded labors from the places, and rehabilitating them. On the work angle, Vijay Sethupathi is currently shooting for his next movie Laabam directed by SP Jhananathan and costarring Shruti Haasan and Jagapathi Babu.
