Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi has been known for his generous nature and his friendly and social approach with his fans and public in general, and his generosity has been proven yet again, with a recent incident where he has gifted a car to a social activist working for rehabilitation of bonded laborers.
Pachaiaymmal, a tribal woman had been working for years as a bonded labourer and after being rescued in 2012, started a bonded laborer rehabilitation center and has since then rescued more than 100 bonded laborers besides also working on getting Aadhar card, Ration card for them.
She had recently been a part of the show hosted by Vijay Sethupathi on TV, and had discussed with him regarding the efforts and troubles involved in rescuing bonded laborers. Following this, yesterday she had received a car and 5 lakhs rupees as a gift from Vijay Sethupathi himself, as she had said that it was her dream to own a car. The car was handed over to Paechiyammal by Vijay Sethupathi’s fans, and the happy Paechiyammal now travels to rescue bonded laborers in her new car given by Vijay Sethupathi who has lived up to the name Makkal Selvan!
