Jyothika in a recent awards function brought to the fore that a government hospital in Thanjavur was in a terrible state with not even private pregnancy wards and while the Thanjavur Pragatheeswarar Temple is maintained like a palace the same should be done for hospitals and schools. Her speech courted controversies from extremist religious groups who started criticizing citing why she did not say the same about churches and mosques. The majority of social media users are seeing that the powerful actress was only concerned about the facilities the less fortunate people should get and was not taking any antireligious stand.
Meanwhile, a twitter post supposedly from Vijay Sethupathi started doing the rounds on the internet in which the actor has written in Tamil "I appreciate Jyothika's bold speech and as a coactor will be the first to support her in the controversy. Only man can save mankind and no God can and the time is coming when all temples will be converted into hospitals."
Vijay Sethupathi in his official Twitter account has exposed the tweet as a photoshopped one from some unknown fake person and has put an end to the controversy that would have otherwise arisen. The person has taken his speech from the 'Master' when he pointed out that it is best to love mankind who will help one another in time of need instead of fighting each other in the name of God and religion.
