The always affable and everybody's nice guy Vijay Sethupathi is in the news over the past weekend after the Hindu Maha Sabha based out of Trichy filed a police complaint against him alleging that he trolled Hindu gods on his television show. Kumaran one of the heads of the Vijay Sethupathi fan clubs has lodged a complaint to the Cyber Crime department that the star repeated a joke by late playwright and Hindu scholar Crazy Mohan on the tv show "Namma Ooru Hero". But certain sections are defaming the actor and his family on social media using parliamentary language and is attempting to tarnish his image and paint a picture that he is against Hindus which is far from the truth.
The petitioner has asked action to remove all the controversial posts and videos on social media and to also go legal on those who are indulging in the activities.
