It’s an understatement to say that prolific writer/director combo Pushkar-Gayathri’s ‘Vikram Vedha’ is a cult hit. For serious movie buffs, it’s much more than that- a philosophical treatise even, considering the play of ethics and moral definition surrounding the construct of Vikram(Madhavan) and Vedha(Vijay Sethupathi) characters.

While the film makes itself fit as a topic for endless debates, the film’s noted performer Vijay Sethupathi revealed it in style what his character actually entailed. In a recently held awards function Vijay Sethupathi, fondly referred to as the Makkal Selvan, explained it short and crisp with no wordly ornamentations. With his casual brand of humour, Vijay Sethupathi stated that he has been given an award in the Villain category while the film was shot on a ‘no hero-no villain’ basis.

Thanking his fans for support Vijay Sethupathi also told that both the characters are one and the same. When asked if he is Vikram or Vedha in real life, the actor ended it in style with a final punchline ‘Na nallavanum illa, nallavane illa’ amidst an uproar from fans. On a related news, the actor also revealed that his upcoming ‘Junga’ will have light hearted humour in it.
