Pan Indian star Vijay Sethupathi who is on constant flight mode to fulfill his multiple film, OTT and television commitments was embroiled in an ugly controversy on November 3rd. A video of a man furiosly charging towards him and jumping ot attack him at the Bengaluru airport went viral and caused concern among his fans.

The attacker whose name is Maha Gandhi has circulated a voice message on Whatsapp claiming that he too is an actor and that when he tried to congratulate Vijay Sethupathi on his National Award win his assistants attacked him and thats why he retaliated. He further claimed that Vijay Sethupathi insulted freedom fighter Muthuramalinga Thevar.

Vijay Sethupathi in his strong reply stated that the man was in a drunken state and saying that they both belonged to the same caste insisted that he speak to him. The Makkal Selvan had then politely asked him to leave him alone and that he would speak at a later time when he is in his senses. It was then that the attack happened on the actor's assistant.

Vijay Sethupathi categorically denied insulting Muthuramalinga Devar addressing him as a saint and he warned legal action if the false allegations continue. Meanwhile controversial politician Arjun Sampath of the Indhu Makkal Katchi has announced a cash reward of rupees one thousand and one for anyone who kicks Vijay Sethupathi.

Sampath has written on twitter that since Vijay Sethupathi has not apologized for insulting Devar he would pay the amount to every single kick to actor till he renders his apology. The post has created an uproar on social media with Vijay Sethupathi fans and the general twitter users condemning the threat by the fringe outfit leader.
