Marathon man Vijay Sethupathi is all set to begin his new movie reportedly titled 'Karuppan' directed by Panneerselvam of 'Renigunta' fame. Bobby Simha is the chief antagonist while it is said that the team has approached Lakshmi Menon for the role of a “Madurai ponnu” once again.

Sources close to the team inform us that the story set in Madurai is based on jallikattu and Vijay Sethupathi plays the role of a "jallikattu" sportsman. At a time when the Tamils all around the world are opposing the ban on the sport with many celebrities throwing their weight behind the issue, Vijay Sethupathi acting in this movie is sure a welcome move that will delight the sport lovers. Official confirmation is expected when the filming starts in a few days time.
