Kamal Haasan ever since starting his political career two and a half years back planned to finish his acting career with a couple of big films and concentrate on taking the reigns of Tamil Nadu in the upcoming general elections. The plan worked out to a certain extent and 'Indian 2' directed by Shankar is almost half complete but has been stalled first due to a tragic on-set accident and now due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The next film that Kamal had lined up is 'Thalaivan Irukkindran' directed by himself, produced by Lyca Productions with A.R. Rahman on board as music composer and Vadivelu in a pivotal role. Industry sources reveal that it virtually impossible now for Kamal to star in the film and the ace entertainer has decided to make changes.
According to reports Vijay Sethupathi will now star as the lead hero in 'Thalaivan Irukkindran' which could be helmed by a different director. Recently Kamal and VJS had an interaction with the title of the film as the headline and the sources say that it is a hint for the project firming up.
The Ulaganayagan has praised the Makkal Selvan sky high in the interaction and has lauded him as the next big star actor of Tamil cinema. The 'Sanga Thamizhan' star had also expressed his longtime wish to work with him and learn from him. Lets wait for the official confirmation on this one though a Kamal-Vijay Sethupathi collaboration is more or less confirmed as of now.
Vijay Sethupathi currently has a number of projects in various stage of production including 'Master', 'Laabam', 'Kadaisi Vivasayi', 'Uppenna', 'Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir', 'Tuglak Durbar' and 'Ka Pe Ranasingham'.
