Kamal Haasan has undergone surgery to remove a titanium rod placed on his fractured leg after a fall in 2016. He will be taking a much needed rest and will be back in a month to resume shooting 'Indian 2' and also his political career heading the Makkal Neethi Maiam.
A news doing the rounds is that Vijay Sethupathi has been roped in to play the villain in 'Indian 2' by director Shankar. In the recently concluded Kamal 60 event VJS revealed that he was approached for the film but could not accept due to his prior commitments and requested Kamal to give him a chance to act with him and learn from him. Now apparently the dates have been adjusted to facilitate this terrific combo and he will start shooting from February 2020.
There is another buzz that Vijay Sethupathi has actually signed on to play the chief antagonist in 'Thalaivan Irukkinran' directed by Kamal. We have to wait for the official confirmation. The Makkal Selvan has already played the villain for Rajini in 'Petta' and is currently locking horns with Vijay in 'Thalapathy 64'.
