Intense actor Vijay Sethupathi is donning the role of a transgender Shilpa in the upcoming film 'Super Deluxe' directed by Thiagarajan Kumarraja costarring Samantha and Fahadh Fazil.  VJS has opened up about the challenges of playing the third gender that moved him emotionally and as a person.

Vijay Sethupathi has revealed that at first as a man he was under the impression that he could easily feel as a woman and portray the transgender but found it highly challenging. He also apparently received negative comments and trolls from many for taking up the role and all he has to convey to those people is that they are not yet matured.  Like how politics has seperated people in the name of caste, color, creed and religion the same forces according to Vijay Sethupathi has embedded in the minds of the people antipathy towards the third gender.

VJS is confident that only friendship will unite the divided people and hopes that transgenders would be treated compassionately in the future.
