Maverick Bollywood director is the villain for Vijay Sethupathi's milestone 50th movie

Vijay Sethupathi one of the most celebrated star actors of the current generation is all set to touch a major milestone in his career. His upcoming film reportedly titled 'Maharaja' will be his 50th. The talented performer started his career doing bit roles as a youngster in 1996 and fourteen years later got his first break as hero with 'Thenmerku Paruva Kaatru' directed by Seenu Ramasamy.
Thirteen years later today Vijay Sethupathi earned the name of Makkal Selvan and is one of the busiest pan Indian actors. Now the latest update on 'Maharaja' is that maverick Bollywoood director Anurag Kashyap has been roped in to play the main villain. This will be the second time that the duo are acting together after 'Imaikka Nodigal'.
Vijay Sethupathi will be donning two getups in the revenge thriller 'Maharaja' which is the second film of Nithilan Swaminathan who debuted with the critically acclaimed 'Kurangu Bommai'. Natty Natrajan, Muniskanth, Arul Doss and Boys Manikandan play supporting roles while Ajaneesh Loknath of 'Kantara' fame is composing the music.
Sixty percent of 'Maharaja' is already complete and the next schedule will be for around 35 days. The film produced by Sudan is expected to release later this year with VJS hoping to garner critical as well as commercial success with this milestone.
Recently Vijay Sethupathi has garnered rave reviews for his performances in the web series 'Farzi' directed by Raj and DK and for his riveting brief appearance in Vetrimaaran's 'Viduthalai 1' that has skyrocketed expectations for the sequel. His upcoming movies are Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jawan' directed by Atlee, 'Gandhi Talks', 'Merry Christmas' and a webseries directed by Kaaka Muttai Manikandan.
