Vijay Sethupathi has a huge fanbase for his highly talented acting and versatility. The 'Makkal Selvan' commenced his career with short films and worked as a junior artist in films. He is one of the most-wanted heroes in India today. Now, he has reached the milestone of 50 movies.

We already broke to you that Vijay Sethupathi has teamed up with the acclaimed filmmaker Nithilan Swaminathan of 'Kurangu Bommai' for a new movie, bankrolled by Passion Studios. Reportedly, the film is titled 'Maharaja' and the shooting started in February. The hot buzz is that this project will mark his 50th venture.

The film’s producer Sudhan said, “It was a surprise even for us to learn that ours will be Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film. He is playing a unique role in this film, a revenge drama, and will have two looks. We have planned to wrap up the film in 85 days, and so far, we have completed 50 days of shoot. Vijay Sethupathi’s portions will be wrapped up in the next 10 days.”

Maharaja also stars Natty Natraj, 'Boys' Manikandan, Arul Doss and Muniskanth. The first look poster and the title of the film will be officially unveiled soon. The technical team has Ajaneesh Loknath (Kantara fame) as the music director, Dinesh Purushothaman as the cinematographer, Philomin Raj as the editor and Selva Kumar as the art director.
