A few days back, everyone in Tamil Nadu who read news reports or watched news bulletins which quoted Income Tax officials saying actor Vijay has been evading payment of Income Tax for a part of his income earned in the past five years.

Last week, officials from Income Tax department raided the star's house as well as many other places including the residences and officers of prominent tinsel town celebrities, a day before the release of Vijay's grand fantasy adventure 'Puli' News reports accusing Vijay of Tax evasion was being spread in media and social media since the next day after the raids.

Now Vijay has strongly reacted to such allegations. A source close to Vijay quotes the 'Puli' star as "I had been a regular Taxpayer. Request Media friends not to spread false allegations and hurt my feelings".

Hope this should put an end to allegations surrounding the actor who is much respected and loved by a large section of people.
