Tamil superstar Vijay's 'Sarkar' has hit the coveted Rs 100 Cr collection mark in just two days of its release. The worldwide gross stands at Rs 110 Cr which is massive for a Tamil film. This is the 6th one billion rupee movie in Vijay's career. It's the 4th such movie in a line (starting with 'Theri' and followed by 'Bhairava', 'Mersal').
The advance bookings are raging in most theaters for the majority of shows and the Rs 200 Cr milestone is now possible, analysts say.
On Day 2, the collection was an impressive Rs 2.32 Cr in Chennai, taking the total to Rs 4.69 Cr. In Tamil Nadu, the collections have gone past Rs. 50 Cr in just two days.
As for the Telugu version, the AR Murugadoss film has earned a share of more than Rs 4.30 Cr in two days. Nizam has contributed Rs 1.40 Cr. This is despite negative reviews. It needs to collect another Rs. 3 Cr to achieve break-even.
In Karnataka, in two days, the gross is Rs 9.15 Cr.
