The shooting of Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 61st film directed by Atlee has been progressing rapidly since last month. It is strongly believed that Vijay plays triple roles in this film for the first time in his career.

While the title is yet to be finalized and the film is currently being referred to as 'Thalapathy 61', we learn from reliable sources that the title 'Moondru Mugam' is under strong consideration.

'Moondru Mugam' is the 1982 blockbuster of Superstar Rajinikanth in which he played triple roles for the first time. One among them is the most memorable cop character Alex Pandian.

The title of the film is expected to be finalized and revealed on Tamil New Year Day falling on April 14, 2017 We will have to wait till then for the official confirmation on the title.

Isaipuyal A.R.Rahman is scoring the music for this film which is being produced by Sri Thenandal Films banner. Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Nithya Menen are playing the female leads in this film.
