Ilayathalapathy Vijay is presently busy shooting for his yet to be titled 59th film that is being directed by Atlee. As we have been reporting the shooting of the film is progressing in Chennai and its suburbs since August 2016.

Regarding the status of completion of the shoot we have learnt from trustable sources that close to 70% of the shooting has been completed. This includes two duet songs between the lead pair VIjay and Samantha and the team will be flying off to a foreign location soon to can the third duet between the 'Kaththi' pair.

Amy Jackosn, who plays another heroine in this film is expected to join the sets from next week.

The film stars K.S.Ravikumar. Radhika Sarathkumar. director J.Mahendran and 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran in important supporting roles. G.V.Prakash is scoring the music for the film while Kalaipuli.S.Thanu is producing this film on a grand scale.

The title and first look of 'Vijay 59' is expected to be unveiled on Deepavali day.
