Vijay's 'Theri' Creates a New Record in Chennai

We had earlier reported the massive screens count and shows allocated for Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Theri' by SPI Cinemas in their properties in Chennai and Coimbatore.
Not just SPI but all the other important multiplexes in Chennai have allocated a phenomenal number of shows for the Atlee directorial to cash in on the extraordinary craze for Vijay films among his core fans and family audiences especially during the summer holiday season.
'Theri' will have 260 shows in multiplexes of Chennai on the release day.
SPI has given 104 shows across its four properties in Chennai. AGS Cinemas has allocated a massive 60 shows in its three complexes in Chennai. Luxe Cinemas which was formerly with SPI Cinemas and now acquired by Jazz Cinemas has allocated 33 shows in its complex that has eight screens. Abhirami, the first cinema theater to emerge as a mall in Chennai has allocated 14 shows in its three screens. Devi and Udhayam, the cineplexes with four screens each have allocated 19 and 14 shows respectively. Sangam the multiplex with three screens will be screening 14 shows of 'Theri'.
(This count does not include single screens like Kasi, Idreams, Shanthi etc. A few of them are yet to start the advance booking).
