As we all know, Ilayathalapathy Vijay's upcoming grand attraction 'Theri' has acquired a clean U certificate from the Censor Officials who have watched the film. This is the 10th Vijay starrer in a row to get the clean chit from Censors.

Now the film's producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu has released the Censor Certificate of the film in his official Twitter handle from which the running time of the Atlee directed entertainer has been revealed,

The running time of 'Theri' is 158 minutes and 11 seconds, which means the film will run for two hours, 38 minutes and 11 seconds.

In the recent years Tamil films with a running time of two hours or a few minutes more than that are becoming popular. But the films of big stars like Vijay cannot come with a running time shorter than two and a half hours. Vijay films are expected to have all ingredients required to satisfy the family audience, children, youngsters and also the ardent fans of the star. So Vijay films have always had its relatively longer running time and 'Theri' follows the pattern. With this we can be assured that Atlee would have packaged 'Theri' as a wholesome entertainer that will cater to all types of audience

'Theri' starring Vijay, Samantha and Amy Jackson in lead roles is all set to hit the screens on April 14, 2016 as a grand Tamil New Year Treat.
