Thalapathy Vijay started shooting for his next project on April 7 even before the release of his recent film 'Beast', directed by Nelson. Also, we updated you first that the first schedule of 'Thalapathy 66' was wrapped up already. It will be a Tamil-Telugu bilingual family drama directed by Vamshi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju.

The regular shoot for the upcoming movie started with a song sequence in Chennai. The latest is that the team had planned to shoot the next major schedule in Hyderabad but the venue was changed later. It is being reported that Vijay has asked the makers to shift the shooting location from Hyderabad to Chennai so that the FEFSI members will be benefited. An appreciation letter from the FEFSI unit is doing rounds on the internet now.

THALAPATHY 66 STARRING VIJAY AND RASHMIKA MANDANNA IS PRODUCED BY TELUGU FILM INDUSTRY'S WELL-ESTEEMED PRODUCER DIL RAJU. WHILE THE SHOOT IS ALL SET TO COMMENCE SHORTLY, SOURCES REVEAL THAT THE PRODUCTION TEAM HAD DECIDED TO SCHEDULE 75% OF THE SHOOT IN HYDERABAD ITSELF. HOWEVER, ACTOR VIJAY HAS INSISTED THAT MAJOR FILMING PORTIONS SHOULD HAPPEN IN CHENNAI AS THE FEFSI MEMBERS WILL BE BENEFITTED.

GOING BY THIS CONDITION, THE PREPARATION WORKS HAVE STARTED ACCORDINGLY.

ALREADY 100-200 WORKERS HAVE STARTED ERECTING GIGANTIC SET WORKS AT A STUDIO IN CHENNAI FOR THE FIRST LEG OF SHOOT.

SO THE MAJOR PORTIONS WILL BE FILMED IN CHENNAI, TN FOLLOWED BY LOCATIONS IN OTHER STATES."

According to the sources, the crew is planning to shoot over 75% of the film in the new venue Chennai and the workers have started erecting a gigantic set at a studio in Chennai. The major schedule will be followed by the portions to be shot in other states' locations. 'Thalapathy 66' has Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady and Thaman S as the music composer.

Veteran actor Sarathkumar is said to be playing Vijay's father role in 'Thalapathy 66' while Prakash Raj and Mehreen Pirzada are also expected to be a part of the cast. Reports suggest that Thalapathy will have two brothers in the movie while some others claim that Vijay is playing a dual role. The makers are eyeing a Pongal 2023 release for the untitled project.
