Another one of Vijay’s upcoming projects, who is currently busy with the shoot of Atlee’s Thalapathy 63, with Maanagaram director Lokesh Kanagaraj was officially announced recently.

While the technical crew of Thalapathy 54 has been decided by the director and producer, the female lead of the movie is yet to be finalized. Although sources have reported that NGK heroine Rakul Preet is in top consideration for the movie. The actress has already expressed her desire to work with Vijay several times in the past, stating, “I love his dance, I love his performance. He is evergreen from his first film to now. He looks the same and I really want to work with him. Is everybody listening?” Other actresses whose names came up for the role are Telugu actress Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay’s Ghilli co-star Trisha.

Thalapathy 64 will be bankrolled by producer Xavier Britto. Anirudh has been roped in to compose music for the movie.
