IT raids behind the delay in 'Puli' release?
- IndiaGlitz, [Wednesday,September 30 2015]
The sudden income Tax raid conducted yesterday in key members of 'Puli' crew seems to have played the spoilsport resulting in the cancellation of premiere and early morning special shows of the film across the world.
According to reliable sources the bank accounts of the film's producers, PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens as well as the other film celebrities who came under the IT scanner yesterday including actor Vijay have been frozen. It is also said that the clearances can be obtained only after the banks reopen today.
In this digital era of film-making every distributor of a film should get the KDM license and only then the film can be screened in a theatre. KDM license will be issued by the firm offering digital servers for the film A California based firm QUBE has been offering this service for almost all Tamil films.
In the case of Puli' the KDM license has not been received by any distributor and that is cited as the reason for the cancellation of all special morning shows in India and premiere shows abroad. It is also said that the local distributors would not allow sending KDM license to overseas distributors before they receive it.
The non availability of finances to last minute finance to make payment for the final KDM clearance has reportedly is cited as the fallout of IT raids and the subsequent freeze of bank accounts of the film's key players.
Now it is being said that Vijay has arrived at the Gemini lab where the last minute negotiations are going on to release the film at any cost at the earliest possible time today.
We hope at least the noon show starts without any hindrances.
