Ilayathalapathy VIjay's 60th film has been progressing as per the plan and the team headed by director Bharathan have been working hard to complete the shoot by October and ensure a Pongal 2017 release.

The team has been successful in curbing the leak of any photographs or details of the character played by Vijay in the film, despite the shooting taking place in various locations for the past several months.

From a source we learn that Vijay plays a Medical student hailing from Tirunelveli. He will also be speaking in the Nellai dialect in this film.
