Veteran director S.A.Chandrasekar has acted in another young director Durai Senthilkumar's 'Kodi'. The film stars Actor Dhanush in the lead role and this is the first dual role flick for the National award winning actor.

Apparently SAC plays a senior politician in this political thriller.

Speaking at the audio launch function held in Chennai today, Durai Senthilkumar revealed how SAC came on board for the project.

"When I narrated the script and SAC sir initially refused to act in the film. But within sometime he called me and said he will act. The reason why he rejected initially is that he has decided to not to act in other directors films. Later he told me that his wife Shoba had said that it is a prestigious opportunity to act in a film with Dhanush. All the family members of Ilayathalapathy Vijay are the fans of Dhanush."

'Kodi' stars Trisha and Anupama Parameshwaran as female lead. Vetrimaran has produced the film under his Grass Root Company banner along with Madan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures banner. The film has been scheduled to hit the screens for Diwali 2016
