Millions of fans await the release of Vijay’s ‘Mersal’ this Diwali. The film which is directed by Atlee has Vijay for the first time playing three distinct roles and so has piqued movie buffs like never before.

With only six more days for the mega release, internet is abuzz with what is touted to be the story of ‘Mersal’. Going by rumours, doctor Vijay after meeting magician Vijay in a visit to America learns that the two are brothers owing to the duo’s similar appearance.

Tracing back to the past, Vijay as village head has S.J Surya, a factory owner as his archnemesis and gets killed by the same. One of the twin sons is sent to Rajasthan while another is adopted by Kovai Sarala’s character. The twins after they grow up avenge their father’s death.

The veracity of this rumor however will come to light only after the release of the film in October 18. A.R Rahman has composed the music for the film while actresses Kajal Aggarwal, Nithya Menen and Samantha share screen space with Vijay in other prominent roles.
