Thalapathy Vijay's 'Mersal' teaser smashed through 20 million views today becoming the fastest Indian film teaser to achieve the feat within five days of its release.

The teaser which still trends at first spot in social media, boasts of extravaganza and Vijay's scintillating screen presence drawing around 8,45,000 likes inching towards the one million mark.

While Ajith's 'Vivegam' teaser has almost 23 million views since its release, the 'Mersal' teaser is attracting views and likes at lightning speed. It is also notable that 'Mersal' teaser has already surpassed the record set by 'Vivegam' teaser which has 6,03,000 likes.

'Mersal' directed by Atlee showcases Vijay in three distinct roles along with Kajal Aggarwal, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menon in other important roes. The film is slated to hit the screens this Diwali.
