We all know that Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his 61st film titled as 'Mersal'. The makers have announced a Diwali release in November 2017 and hence the team is working round the clock to finish the film within the deadline.

It is being widely reported that the Thalapathy will be teaming up with director A.R.Murugadoss for his 62nd film. This will be the third time the actor-director duo will be working together after the blockbusters 'Thuppakki' and 'Kaththi'. Sun Pictures banner will be producing this film.

Though nothing has been official about this mouth-watering project, it is being speculated that Rakul Preet Singh will play the female lead in this film and Anirudh Ravichander is likely to work on the music

Now the latest information we get about 'Thalapathy 62' is that the film will go on floors in January 2018. It looks likely that the shooting will begin on or before the auspicious Pongal festival.
