We have enough assets to repay loans, says Vijay Mallyas firm

Liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s United Breweries Holdings Limited(UBHL) has told the Karnataka High Court that it has enough assets to repay the loans taken by Kingfisher Airlines.UBHL, the corporate gurantor of loans taken by Kingfisher Airlines , also stated that it had assets and shares worth Rs.12,000 crores which would suffice to clear all dues.

It is a well known fact that a group of 17 banks including SBI had filed a case to recover Rs.9000 crore from Mallya. Vijay Mallya left for London just a few days before the group of banks approached the Supreme Court about Mallya’s defaulting of the loan. Currently, Vijay Mallya is in UK facing an extradition trial.
