Thalapathy Vijay one of the biggest superstars in not only Kollywood but also South Indian cinema had filed a case against eleven people including his father SA Chandrasekhar and mother Shobha Chandrasekhar barring them from using his name or photos for political reasons. Controversy erupted within the family when SAC tried to start a political party named Vijay Makkal Iyakkam in 2019 and registered it with the Election Commission of India.
Today the veteran film director informed the court that in last February itself it was decided by those involved to dissolve the Vijay Makkal Iyakkam political party and formalities were completed. The court accepted the counter filed by SAC and has adjourned the case to October 29th. Industry insiders now feel that the internal conflict between Vijay and his parents would now come to an end as the latter have decided not to pursue political ambitions using his name and fame.
Vijay meanwhile is busy acting in his new movie 'Beast' directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures. His next after that tentatively titled 'Thalapathy 66' produced by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally was also officially announced on Sunday.
