It has been reported widely for the past few days that Thalapathy Vijay, who is currently occupied with Atlee directorial Thalapathy 63 which has been planned as a Diwali release and produced by AGS Entertainment, will next team with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for Thalapathy 64.

It was also reported that this movie will be produced by Xavier Britto, a relative of Vijay, who had produced movies like Senthoora Pandi, Rasigan etc in the early 90s in Vijay's initial phase. Now these details have almost been confirmed, as the team had a meeting recently.

Thalapathy 64's core team has met recently, and it has been revealed that Lokesh Kanagaraj is retaining most of his Kaithi team, except for the inclusion of Anirudh as the music director, and the movie is set to have Sathyan Sooriyan as the cinematographer and Philomin Raj as the editor. An official announcement is expected to arrive in few days.
