During the COVID-19 lockdown, television has been the only source of entertainment for most Indians. TV channels have been airing the movies of popular stars to cash in on the demand.

Which superstars have been the most viewed in the recent weeks? Based on BARC's data, Tamil superstar Vijay's movies have been the most viewed on television in the country. His films have gotten 117.9 million impressions and interestingly, next to him is another Tamil actor. It's Raghava Lawrence with 76.2 million. Superstar Rajinikanth is at number three with his films garnering 65.8 million views, followed by Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar with 58.8 million.

Our own Prabhas is at No. 5 with 56.9 million impressions. A reason why 'Sarkar' and 'Whistle' actor Vijay is far ahead of others is that his movies have been aired repeatedly on Tamil TV channels. On the other hand, the likes of Prabhas may not have got that much of exposure.
