Finally the audio of Silambarasan’s ‘Osthi’ was launched and with much fanfare. The audio launch took place on October 19 and Ilayathalapathy Vijay was the surprise chief guest at the event, who launched the audio which received by Valee, lyricist.

While Simbu aka STR was dressed in his ‘Osthi’ getup, of a cop, Richa was spotted in a bright red saree whereas Vijay was seen in his casual best. The event was graced by various other celebs apart from the cast and crew, including KS Ravikumar, Vijaykumar, Bhagyaraj, Kalaipuli Dhanu, Nassar, Myilsamy, Jai, Vaibhav, Mahat, Premgi and many others. Vijay donated money to blind children at the event and the show was hosted by Jagan along with another anchor.

Various programs were performed on stage including Simbu singing the ‘Pondatti…’ track for the gathered, a song he penned and crooned in the album. Whereas his father, T Rajendar entertained audiences with his mimicry and playback singers sang songs from the film…

After the event, speaking on the launch Simbu commented, “Osthi audio launch was a huge success, thanks to all my fans for making it special and Ilayathalapathy Vijay Anna for coming down, knowing the fact that I am an agmark Thala fan! Shows how stars should be! I hope my fans love all the songs”.
