Young maker Vijay Kumar, who had debuted with the political thriller Uriyadi in 2016, is back with the sequel to the movie, Uriyadi 2, starring himself along with Vismaya, Sudhakar and many others. This time around, actor Suriya has backed the movie, producing it in his 2D Entertainment banner, and the teaser of the movie is out now.

The teaser of the movie showcases raw action episodes, as an angry youngster played by Vijay Kumar rises violently, unable to control his social anger and beginning a movement against the dirty politics and social evils. The teaser has some powerful lines like "Urimai Kaaka Poraduvathe nam Kadamai", "Arasiyalla naama thalaiyidanum, illa arasiyal namma vaazhkaila thalaiyidum" mouthed by Vijay Kumar, and evokes curiosity on the movie.

The already hit Thathakida Thithom theme has been reused, and music director Govind Vasantha of 96 and Seethakaathi fame has scored music for Uriyadi 2, and the movie's cinematography is handled by Praveen Kumar N. Uriyadi 2 just like its first part is expected to be a raw and hard hitting take against politics, and is scheduled to hit screens this summer.
