Vijay Krishna Acharya has suddenly emerged as one of the hottest names in writer circles today.

After making a splash with 'Dhoom' for which he wrote dialogues and screenplay, he followed up the good work with 'Dhoom 2'. In the interim, he also wrote the dialogues for 'Pyaar Ke Side Effects' which proved out to be one of the mainstays of the film.

With three back to back hits behind him, he walks into the New Year with 'Guru' for which he is responsible for penning the dialogues. Knowing Mani Ratnam's mastery over the subject and Abhishek Bachchan's strong role in the film, one expects some gems from the writing front.

Meanwhile Vijay is also in news for the Yash Raj film he has signed as his directorial debut vehicle. The biggie would star Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
