Ilayathalapathy Vijay's grand 60th film 'Bairavaa' released worldwide amid huge expectations and tremendous frenzy on Thursday (January 12).
The film had special mid night shows in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu that were organised just hours before and the tickets were sold out within the beginning of the show. This is in addition to the pre-dawn and special morning shows apart from the regular four shows which were already houseful on the day the advance bookings started earlier this week.
In Chennai city box office, 'Bairavaa' has collected Rs.92 lakhs on its first day and this is the third best after Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' and Vijay's previous blockbuster 'Theri'.
With the Pongal festival holidays extending upto Monday (January 16), and special morning shows added up for today and tomorrow, the film directed by Bharathan is all set to create new Box office history in Opening collections.
