It is common knowledge that Illayathalapathy Vijay and Chiyaan Vikram are great friends and there is even an unconfirmed buzz doing the rounds for some time now that director Shankar`s next film after 2.0`will have both of them in the lead roles.

Vikram`s next film Garuda` directed by Thiru with Kajal Agarwal as the leading lady is set to begin in July and the team has planned to finish it in one stretch eyeing a Pongal 2016 release. Similarly the Illayathalapathy-Keerthi Suresh starrer Vijay 60` is also said to have locked the same date making it the clash of the buddies in 2017. The duo`s films Tamizhan` & Gemini` and Sivakasi` & Maja` have previously locked horns at the box office with one of them emerging the winner each time and it will be interesting to see what happens this time.
