We all know that Thala Ajith's 'Mankatha' has inspired even his professional rival and good friend Ilayathalapathy Vijay to the extent that he said he would have done Arjun's role in the film if it was offered to him.

Now in an exclusive interview to IndiaGlitz, director Venkat Prabhu and his brother Premji revealed some more interesting and surprising fact about how Vijay reacted for 'Mankatha'.

Venkat Prabhu said "Thalapathy was very happy after watching 'Mankatha'. He called us for a dinner at his home. We two and him only three of us were there. We had a nice time. His wife cooked food for us. First, I went alone. He asked why Premji did not come. He said his kids want to meet Premji. I immediately made him come. His son Sanjay and daughter took photographs with him and went to sleep only after that. He was very open. He gave many advices to Premji to improve as an actor.

Vijay sir advised Premji against being choosy and acting only in my films. He insisted Premji to do accept many films. To acting other directors film also. Then he said Premji that ,he should not act in my film with Vijay, he can instead do the music score for the film. When he asked why, he jocularly said 'I know you are 'Thala's man'. "

For his part, Premji said "I acted in 'Chennai' 600028 and I got claps. In between I did a few films but I did not get claps. Again in 'Saroja' I got claps. Thats why I thought I should act only in my brother's film. But Vijay anna advised me against that and asked me to be open for all acting offers. I also got good salary by acting in many films. So I continued acting in others films also. I also requested Vijayna that he should allow me to act in his film with my brother so that I can be relieved of the impression of Vijay fans that I am against him."
