Whoa! Vijay gave treat to director for giving blockbuster hit with Ajith

Thala Ajith and Thalapathy Vijay are today’s two pillars of Tamil cinema and their respective fans see each other as rivals and fan wars are fought day in and day out on social media platforms.  However the Kollywood industry insiders know that in spite of professional rivalry Vijay and Ajith share a close bonding and both their families are also friendly with each other.

Director Venkat Prabhu in a recent interaction with actor Yugendaran has shared that when he gave the blockbuster hit ‘Mankatha’ with Thala Ajith, Vijay watched and liked the movie so much that he invited VP to his house and treated him with a sumptuous meal.  Vijay had also told VP that he is welcome any time to narrate a story to him and whenever he has a line that suits the Thalapathy he will combine with him for a new movie.

Venkat Prabhu is currently directing ‘Maanaadu’ starring Simbu and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles while Ajith has finished fifty percent of the shooting of his next ‘Valimai’ directed by H. Vinod.  Vijay meanwhile is awaiting the release of his next film ‘Master’ costarring Vijay Sethupathi that will hit the screens as soon as the coronavirus pandemic ends.
