Vijay does a hero's act

Vijay is a man who does things with conviction --- be it on screen or in real life.
The man, who has played macho hero on screen, has literally turned a hero in real life as he has offered to sponsor the education expenses of G Manikandan, a student of a Corporation School in Chennai who scored 1071 out of 1200 in the Higher Secondary examinations.
The dedicated boy, who studied under the lamp-posts of streets and parks and also sold flowers everyday, scored a centum in Chemistry.
Vijay has now decided to 'adopt' the boy and will now bear his educational expenses. Manikandan wants to pursue a career in nursing.
Vijay has sponsored the education of nearly 50 students till now, of whom more than 10 are from the same school of Manikandan.
