Young sensation Vijay Deverakonda who has turned producer with Meeku Matrame Chepta has featured in a promotional song for the film. As the film isn’t fronted by popular faces, Deverakonda, who has recently sealed a deal with Asian Cinemas to distribute the film, felt that his number will help the film on the promotional front and thereby increase the number of footfalls.

He has shot for it by spacing out time from his on-sets romantic drama with Kranthi Madhav earlier this week in Ramoji Film City for a day. “It’s a quirky foot tapping number and with Vijay grooving to it, there will be more eyeballs on the film. It will be out on soon,” says a source.

The source adds that Vijay will increase the scale of promotions once Asian Cinemas decide on the release date. Featuring Tharun Bhascker, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Avantika Mishra and Abhinav in the lead roles, the film, a tragic comedy, marks the directorial debut of Shammir Sultan.
